As a music educator, diversity equity, and inclusion are essential elements of my fundamental mission. I believe they are integral to the achievement of excellence and social growth of the students. Promoting diversity goes well beyond improving gender equality and must include promoting opportunities for underrepresented minority students. I will joyfully work with students regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, language, abilities/disabilities, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or country of origin. It is my hope that students with diverse backgrounds can find their voices in my lessons. I am committed to making a difference in ensuring that everyone is given opportunities to excel in their passions. As a caring teacher, I create and manage an inclusive classroom/studio where every student can feel comfortable and special in their uniqueness.
